Private Knitting Lessons

Hello, I’m Kay.

I’m 81 and I’ve been knitting & crocheting most of my life. I love sitting down with folks who want to learn or get better at it. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been knitting a while and need some help, I’d be glad to teach you.

We’ll work one-on-one right here in Coeur d’Alene, nice and relaxed. No big groups or rush. Just you and me, needles clicking, and a little visiting while we work.

I can show you:

• The basics — casting on, knit and purl stitches, binding off
• How to read a pattern
• Fixing mistakes (we all make them)
• Simple projects like scarves, hats, dishcloths, or baby blankets
• Whatever else you want to learn — cables, color work, you name it

You can bring your own yarn and needles, or use what I have here. We’ll take it at your pace.

Most of my students are ladies, but a couple of nice men have come too. Everyone’s welcome, no matter your age or how much you already know.

Rates

• $20 per hour

I’m flexible with daytime and early evening times. Just email and we’ll set something up.
